Art Exhibition This Weekend in New Paltz!

Intro Details

Hello Art Dept Friends!

I’m happy to share that some artists and I will be showing our work in the Garden Gallery at the Wild Arts Collective in New Paltz, NY on June 12 & 13, in an exhibition we’ve curated and titled “Found at the Garden”.

The group of us were connected through a shared mentor this past winter. We spent an intensive week together on Zoom exploring collage, photomontage, and other techniques that could all be done with found materials at a small kitchen table during stay-at-home precautions.

We’ve collectively-curated this exhibition as an interactive exploration into our constructions of reality. This show highlights the collage and photomontage work we created together, speaks to this thriving community garden and invites viewers to engage with the space in new and unexpected ways.

If you are able to make a summer weekend or day trip to the beautiful Hudson Valley, I hope you’ll swing by. The Wild Arts Collective is less than a 2 hour drive from NYC (also accessible by Bus from NYC to Rosendale) and resides at Stone Mountain Farm, an expansive 200 acre property hosting Wild Arts‘ flying trapeze rig (yes, you can fly!), 5th Wall Studio‘s aerial rig, a dance stage, horse barn, access to hiking on the Rail Trail and the wonderful Rail Trail Cafe on site.
