I have an unfurnished room for rent starting April 1st in Gowanus BK! Very colorful and retro apartment full of vintage goodies. Three blocks from Carroll St G/F and one block from Union St R. $1,100/mo not including utilities (utils run about $100/mo), $2,200 to move in (security and first month’s rent).
Our neighborhood is full of awesome restaurants and bars, and Whole Foods and Associated/Blink Fitness are just a couple blocks away. The room is large at 13×12 feet and is a quiet back bedroom with a quarter bath (with small window), there are two large windows in the bedroom, closet, hardwood floors and exposed brick throughout. We also have an amazing shared rooftop with a killer view of lower Manhattan that you’re welcome to use! Looking for a person in their late 20s/30s/early 40s working full time, or part time as a student.
I’m a 33 year old female artist (printmaker, Rhode Island School of Design) who works freelance in film, and I also have a few shifts bartending so my schedule varies wildly. I have a cute pup about 35 pounds who loves to snuggle and play. I enjoy working on home projects and like to listen to NPR and Tom Waits while cooking (I know that’s oddly specific but I love it). It’s a fairly quiet apartment, I do like to have people over for dinner and sometimes late nights but that’s about it. I’m clean but not a total stickler. The building is full of young artists, musicians and service industry people. We are all family here, and totally adore our little part of the hood!
Let me know if you’d like to take a look! I can send photos via email. Text 845-383-0833 or email me at [email protected], thanks!
