MOVING SALE: 2 Cool MCM Chairs -1950s – Mid Century Modern Danish Bookshelf _ Bed Stuy

New York City Legacy

Legacy Details

Moving from my Bed Stuy apt and selling some chairs. I also have a PACE Collection tall lucite light up shelving unit, and a full size bed headboard from the 1950s that I will be posting. For tight now there are these:

  1. J. B. Van Sciver walnut frame arm chair ($75.00). This is a great apt sized chair that I used for a time as my main chair, and it does the trick for a good reding shair, though it is a lithe frame and maybe looks like it wouldn’t be cozy–it is. The leatherette upholstery is original and is fine as is, but you could take this to this upholsterer I know on Malcolm X and Putnam and get it redone cheap. The frame has some wear but overall a great chair.

23.5″ overall width; 24″ deep overall; 18″ seat depth; 31.5″ Seat back height; 26.5″ arm rest height; 17.5″ seat height

  1. Coral pink tall back Hollywood Regency side chair/ dining chair that I have used in staging and photo shoots–it is a great chair for taking portraits. The cushion is worn, yes, but that can be fixed–or not. Great for a prop house. ($50.00)
  2. Danish Modern teak book case ($200.00); 50″ Length; 29-3/4″ Tall; 12-1/4″ Deep. Excellent vintage condition. These were sold as stero stands back in the 60s/70s and the backs are open for wires, etc. It is finished on the back so it can float in the room and look hot.
