Hi all!
Looking for an experienced Scenic Artist to do some faux wood grain and formica (see attached photos) on some custom built furniture pieces this Saturday in Manhattan near Columbus Circle in a rehearsal space. Exact hours flexible but could go into evening if needed, need to finish with approval from designer in one day. All pieces are wood and already base coated by the shop so it's just the finishing work. Must send work samples of faux wood and any other faux finishes you have, and be able to follow references and work on the fly a bit and tell me what supplies you need. You probably won't have exact paint elevations, just references, so ideally comfortable with that. I'm a trained scenic myself but don't have the time to do this myself as I'm prop supervising. You will have one artist to help who is less experienced with faux finishes but very crafty and artistic who can help if needed for at least some of the day, and a runner for supplies, and I should be in and out as well. Can bring own brushes or we are happy to supply, up to you. Future work opportunities very likely!
Please send work samples, a little about yourself and confirm availability to * Join to View *.
Thanks Cube!
