Recommendations for Antique Architectural Salvage in Great Quantity/Low Cost

New York City Legacy

Legacy Details

Seeking dilapidated, derelict pieces to dress an exterior location: - old doors (interior & exterior) - exterior cornices - mantels/fireplace - misc. hardware - salvaged flooring, moulding, other building materials - fencing Everything pre-war, nothing modern, past 1950. HERE'S THE CATCH: because we need a great quantity and specifically hoping to find items in shabby condition (think an entire city block of dilapidated housing, mid-construction, in various states of disrepair), we haven't had luck with the usual suspects (Olde Good Things, Demo Depot, Big ReUse) since most items there are sold by the piece and are priced too precious for what we are trying to achieve. What I'm hoping to find is an architectural salvage lot or similar within the Tri-State area, much like an auto-junkyard in the sense that I could buy in bulk and not be precious about individual pieces. Does anyone have any leads on this? If it's promising enough I could travel up to 3 hours out of the city but I'm hoping to find something in NYC/NJ/Long Island. Thank you SO MUCH for getting this far and reading this whole thing. xoxo!
