Standard Transmission Productions (www.stp.nyc) is a rapidly growing integrated Display and Experience company, specializing in technology and creative fabrication for multiple Fortune 500 clients in Retail, Advertising, and Consumer Brands. STP has over 22,000 ft2 of fabrication and design space in Brooklyn, NY and employs a highly skilled fabrication team including specialists in design, scenic, carpentry, metal fabrication, technology, digital signage, animatronics, & content creation.
STP is seeking a hands-on full-time Project Manager to lead a team of seasoned fabricators to deliver memorable experiences rooted in best-in-class design, craftsmanship, and the latest technology. Projects include custom fabrication for events, pop-ups, retail, ad campaigns and theater. Clients include major retailers, artists, museums, galleries, ad agencies, and cultural institutions.
The ideal candidate has five years of experience managing fabrication projects including but not limited to; drafting SOWs, creating work breakdown structures, production schedules, estimates and resource plans, running events and organizing installs and logistics. The candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication & organizational skills that can cooly and confidently interface with and manage our clients. They are confident managing the logistical challenges of production and building strong relationships, knowing when to drive plans and when to pivot for the best results.
Position to start immediately.
Responsibilities:
Manage concurrent projects from start to finish, ensuring projects are on time, on budget, and to client’s satisfaction
Create scopes of work, production schedules, estimates, and project plans, identifying resource requirements, project tasks, deliverables, dependencies and assumptions
Maintain project budget by tracking labor, material and service expenses
Manage team of employees working on project; run productions meetings/check-ins with team; schedule overhires when necessary
Report to Director of Projects on project progress
Temper client expectations, flag and resolve issues
Coordinate logistics and call-sheets for installs/de-installs of project
Build and maintain client relationships
Requirements:
3-5 years experience with project management in events production and fabrication
Proficient planning and running waterfall style projects. Knowledge of agile and scrum a plus.
Comprehension of shop drawings, building materials, and basic construction
Proficient with G Suite, Trello, Smartsheets, JIRA and Slack
Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to collaborate well with others
Excellent communication skills
Compensation: 65-75k
