Welder/Fabricator for full-time work

Multi-media fabrication shop in Queens looking for Welder/Fabricator for full-time work. We work closely with designers and artists on a number of unusual projects for events and display. Our shop creates and installs projects in all types of medium, often with animated and LED illuminated features. Our ideal candidate would be timely, eager to learn and ready to help with whatever needs to get done. Additionally, we are looking for: • Someone who works well with other people. • Experience with TIG welding techniques and equipment. • Experience with MIG welding. • Experience in Architectural metal fabrication and finishing. • Experience reading shop drawings, evaluating and developing a fabrication plan, and carrying fabrication through to completion. • Availability on occasion to work over-time/weekends. • Availability to work installs around the city and rarely out of state. • Experience with carpentry, general shop and install skills is a definite plus. We have a small, dedicated welding area on our floor with a Cold-cut saw. We have a machined fabrication/welding table with clamps and jig fixtures. We have a 200 amp Miller Dynasty TIG welder, a 135 amp MIG welder, and we have a new Hossfeld Hydraulic tube and pipe bender.
