It would be helpful to know if your friend has any experience with metalwork, MIG ot TIG welding -or- if they only think they WANT to learn because life is in flux and it sound ‘fun’.
If they have no experience at all and do not want to take trade classes because they are unsure if they want to do this, then asking an experienced tradesperson to teach them is a waste of everyone’s time,
An apprentice should come in with some basic knowledge, skills and STRONG DESIRE.
So have your bud take a single class to figure it out, that is not a trade school commitment,
Have them join ArtCube when they have something to show and make connections when they are not in the experimental phase.
