These post types also serve as valuable metrics, helping us track shifts in job locations, in-demand positions, and industry trends—so the ArtCube community always stays ahead of the curve.

POST ALL OVER

  • You can post in as many free cities as you wish, even if you do not have that city listed on your profile.
  • If the city is a premium city, you have to have a premium member.
  • If you edit your post to include more cities, the post only goes to the newly added cities; It does not vex the original city with a dupe.
  • You can find all your posts in My Posts

ArtCube Market: Creative ReUSE bazaar

ArtCube Nation’s Market is a treasure trove built just for the creative industry—think used theatrical flats, chroma green-painted props, event truss, and oversized stools you won’t find anywhere else. It’s where practical meets the peculiar: one day you’ll spot a stack of vintage carpets from a Broadway show, the next it’s a bundle of scenic foam, a 12-foot disco ball, or a set of custom-fabricated animatronic arms. Every post is hyper-specific to the needs of film, TV, theater, events, and fabrication pros—whether you’re hunting for a rare find, clearing out your storage, or giving new life to the weird and wonderful.

With four dedicated categories and its own feed—ISO, For Sale, For Free, and Studio Sale—the Market is the place Cubers go to source, sell, and repurpose creative assets, keeping the industry sustainable (and a little more fun) with every transaction.
Make new connections, too!

ISO: For Sourcing the hard-to-find

ISO (in search of) is your “help me find this!” post for props, set dressing, raw materials, and scenic bits—whether you need a human hamster ballt, a faux candy props, or just a few faux glass bricks, you can . If you’ve already scoured Craigslist, tapped your go-to prop pals, and still come up empty, throw your ISO to the Cube and let the hive mind work its magic.

Why does it work?Because out in Cuber Land, someone has almost certainly hunted for that exact same weird thing before—and odds are, they know where to find it (or have it stashed in their storage!). On ArtCube, you’re never alone. Our network is packed with prop houses, scenic shops, and creative Cubers who often answer ISOs directly if they have what you need. It’s like having thousands of industry insiders in your corner, ready to help you pull off the impossible.

Super Important:ISO is never for hiring shops or crew. Posting a gig as an ISO not only looks shady, but also skips the transparency Cubers expect and misses your target—many crew pros (like scenic carpenters) opt out of Market posts entirely! If you need a person, post a Job. This keeps everything above board and ensures your opportunity reaches the right folks.

Best Practices:
  • Post only after you’ve done your research—Cubers love a challenge, not a wild goose chase.
  • Share what you’ve already tried.
  • Give all the details and a reference photo.
What if nobody answers your ISO?Sometimes, the thing you’re hunting for is just too rare—even for the Cube. If your ISO post gets nothing but crickets, that’s your answer: it probably doesn’t exist (yet)! In those cases, it’s time to hire a maker, fabricator, or artisan to bring your vision to life. Luckily, there are plenty of talented Cubers ready to help—just post a Job and watch the magic happen.Example:“ISO: Neon sign, 24” wide, working or not, needed in LA by Friday. Already checked prop houses and eBay.”

Budget-frieendly on all sides

For Sale: Sell Set Dressing to Another Project

Got set dressing, tools, art supplies, or gear that’s still got miles left in it? The For Sale post is your ticket to giving creative items a second act—while making a little cash and keeping stuff out of the landfill. ArtCube’s Market is full of industry-specific treasures: think used theatrical flats, chroma green-painted props, event truss, oversized stools, and all sorts of wonderfully weird finds you won’t see on regular classifieds.

Why use For Sale?
  • Sustainability: Selling keeps materials in circulation, reduces waste, and helps fellow creatives stay on budget.
  • Community: You’re not just selling—you’re supporting the next great project, show, or installation.
  • Find the right buyer: ArtCube’s audience knows exactly what your “box of scenic foam” is and why it matters!
Best Practices:
  • Be honest and detailed in your description—mention condition, dimensions, quirks, and history if it’s interesting!
  • Add clear, well-lit photos (the more, the better).
  • Set a fair price—firm or negotiable, your call.
  • Include pickup logistics (location, timing, loading help if needed).
  • Use hashtags like #artcubenation, #artcubemarket, and #notinadumpster for max visibility.
Example:“For Sale: 10x scenic flats, gently used, perfect for theater or photo shoots. Brooklyn pickup, discount for bulk! #artcubenation #artcubemarket”Pro Tip:The weirder or more specific your item, the more likely a fellow Cuber will pounce. Don’t be shy—someone out there is looking for exactly what you’ve got!

Studio Sale: Asset Liquidation for Creative Pros

Studio Sale posts are your all-in, “everything must go” announcements for major clear-outs. Whether you’re wrapping a big production, downsizing a shop, or liquidating a prop house, Studio Sale is the place to get the word out to hundreds of buyers who know exactly what to do with a truckload of creative treasures. What’s a Studio Sale?
  • Large-scale asset sales: Think entire sets, prop collections, racks of costumes, or a warehouse of event truss.
  • Perfect for productions, vendors, and studios: If you’ve got a mountain of stuff that needs to move—fast—this is your megaphone.
  • Reach a targeted audience: Cubers love a bargain in bulk, and Studio Sales draw set decorators, prop houses, and creative scavengers from all over.
Best Practices:
  • List as much detail as possible: What’s for sale? Era, style, notable productions, condition, and any quirky highlights.
  • Include clear photos—people want to see the goods!
  • Set an end date—Studio Sale posts auto-close so you don’t have to babysit.
  • Be upfront about pickup logistics (location, dates, times,

For Free: Give It Away, Save a Dumpster

Sometimes you just need something gone—fast. That’s where For Free posts shine! This is the place to offer up set dressing, props, tools, or materials that still have life left in them, but you don’t have the time, space, or energy to sell. Whether it’s leftover scenic paint, a pile of foam blocks, or that weird prop you thought you’d use again (but didn’t), there’s probably a Cuber out there who needs it. Why For Free?
  • Saves money and the planet: You help a fellow creative, avoid landfill waste, and skip dumpster fees.
  • Perfect for last-minute clear-outs: Got a truck coming tomorrow? Don’t toss it—post it!
  • Community love: For Free posts are a win-win. You declutter, someone else scores a treasure, and the creative cycle continues.
Best Practices:
  • Be specific about what’s available and any quirks (“half-used paint, but still good!”).
  • List pickup details, location, and timing (the more urgent, the better).
  • First come, first served—Cubers move fast when free stuff is on the line!
Example:“For Free: Assorted set dressing—lamps, rugs, and a giant fake cactus. Must go by Monday, Brooklyn pickup only.” Pro Tip:If you’re in a jam and need it out ASAP, say so! Cubers are pros at swooping in for last-minute grabs. And remember: giving away is just as much a part of ArtCube’s sustainability mission as selling or sourcing.

  • Build your network: Cubers love welcoming new faces and sharing insider tips. Your Intro post is how the community gets to know you—and how you start building your creative tribe.
  • Set yourself up for success: A great Intro can lead to opportunities, partnerships, and even friendships you didn’t see coming.

  • Share your background, favorite projects, and what excites you about the industry.
  • Mention any special skills, certifications, or fun facts (ADHD superpowers? Epic coffee brewing? We want to know!).

  • Find your next creative HQ: Whether you’re looking for a sun-drenched photo studio in Brooklyn, a rehearsal space in LA, or a secure shop for fabrication in Dallas, Space posts connect you with the right real estate for your creative needs.
  • Offer your own space: Got a studio, shop, or storage area with extra room? List it! You’ll help fellow Cubers stay productive (and maybe cover your rent while you’re at it).

Pro Tip:If you’re searching for a space, be clear about your needs—size, budget, location, and any must-haves. The more details you give, the faster you’ll find your perfect fit!
gigs for professional creatives

Job Posts: Find or Fill Creative Roles

Jobs posts are the backbone of ArtCube Nation—they’re how productions find the right talent and how freelancers land their next gig. If you’re looking to hire or be hired for paid work in film, TV, theater, events, installations, or design (union or non-union), this is where the magic happens. What belongs in a Job post?
  • Paid work at the going rate or better. Whether it’s union or non-union, film, TV, theater, events, installations, or even a bid request from a fabricator or niche artisan, if there’s pay (or school credit for internships), it belongs here.
  • Accuntability. Be very open about your job, add the Hiring Organization if that is not you.
  • One job, one post. If you need five different positions filled, create five posts. This keeps everything clear, searchable, and fair for all Cubers.
  • Side-hustle and service gigs: These are okay.  We know Cubers have many talents and cell phone bills to pay.
Why is this important?Transparency is everything. Posting a job as an ISO to avoid sharing pay or details is a no-go—it’s unfair, looks shady, and won’t reach the right audience. Crew pros who are looking for jobs may opt out of Market posts, so posting in the correct category ensures your listing gets seen by the people who matter.Best Practices:
  • Be crystal clear about the position, pay, location, and expectations.
  • Post early—jobs fill fast on the Cube!
  • State the skills required, mention night shoots if any, and provide the Cubers with as much information as possible so they can apply to your gig informedly.
Example:“Seeking: Set Designer for NYC commercial shoot. non-union. Must have experience with repurposed set materials. Send portfolio and availability." Pro Tip:Most people who post a job on ArtCube come back to post again—because they find great people, fast! So hang around for your next opportunity.
THE CUBE KNOWS

Advice: Tap the Cube-Mind for Creative Solutions

In a creative pickle? Need a second (or third, or twentieth) opinion on adhesives, scenic paint, or how to move a 12-foot disco ball up five flights of stairs? The Advice post is where the ArtCube community’s collective brainpower shines. No question is too weird, too niche, or too nerdy—if you need insight, the Cube is here for you.

Why use Advice?
  • Crowdsource solutions: Whether it’s technical, logistical, or just plain weird, someone in the community has probably faced your challenge before.
  • Save time and money: Get proven tips and tricks from pros who’ve been there, done that, and survived to tell the tale.
  • Build community: Advice threads are where Cubers share wisdom, laugh at past mistakes, and help each other level up their creative game.
  • Get a vibe check on a weird work sitch: If you think your employer is being shifty, ask for advice on that, too.
Best Practices:
  • Be specific: The more detail you give, the more helpful the answers will be.
  • Don’t be shy! No judgment here—everyone’s been stumped at some point.
  • Thank your fellow Cubers and share what worked—it helps everyone in the future.
Example:“Advice needed: What’s the best way to attach faux brick panels to a cinder block wall for a one-day shoot? Needs to be sturdy but easy to remove. Bonus points for budget-friendly solutions!”Pro Tip:Search your problem first, it may have been asked and solved aleady!
ITS ABOUT LIFE

Off-Topic: When It’s Not About Work

Sometimes you need to ask for a great freelancer-friendly accountant, the best late-night coffee near Silvercup, or just want to share a hilarious production meme. That’s what Off-Topic is for! This is the spot for all the non-work, non-market, non-job stuff that makes the ArtCube community feel like, well, a real community.

Why use Off-Topic?
  • Get (and give) real-life recommendations: From healthcare to bean counters, Cubers have your similar issues,
  • Share the quirky: Got an industry joke, a wild production story, or a question that doesn’t fit anywhere else? Bring it here.
  • Classes you offer: If you are teaching a skill, add your classes here.
  • Stay connected: Off-Topic keeps ArtCube fun, supportive, and a little bit weird—in the best way.
Best Practices:
  • Keep it friendly, helpful, and inclusive—Cubers are here to support each other.
  • If it’s not a job, not a market listing, not advice, and not about space—it probably belongs here!

Example:“Off-Topic: Anyone know a good tax pro who understands 1099s and last-minute miracles?

Pro Tip:Some of the best connections and creative solutions happen in Off-Topic threads. Don’t be shy—ask away, and you might just find a new favorite resource (or Cuber buddy)!

Wrap up: More Post Types in the Works

As ArtCube Nation expands, so do your options—soon you’ll see new “Bid Request,” “Side Hustle,” and “Collaboration” sub-posts under Jobs, making it even easier to connect and seize new opportunities.
