Good afternoon
I hope you are all well, dry and safe. As promised at our Listening Session, here is an email providing is a list of the agency websites and program names from the listening panel.
HOT OFF THE PRESSES: Small Business Services (SBS) launched a new program yesterday (Thursday, Sept. 28) called “NYC Funds Finder” a platform for review of available grants and loans. See link below.
We have also included information about Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI). The topic was not brought up at our event as state representatives were committed elsewhere. We believe this is useful information and decided to include it here.
Lastly, it was suggested by the panel to enlist your elected officials especially when having difficulty getting a response from an agency.
Each of you have elected 4 main officials who serve your district.
City Council Member
State Assembly Member
State Senator
and Congress Member
I have supplied the link for “Who Represents Me NYC” below. When you go to the site, click on “use my current location” then type your address in the white search bar. You’ll see the following tabs marked City, State and Federal. When your search is complete, and you click each tab, your representatives’ names, position and contact information will appear.
Call their office and a constituent liaison will take the call or contact you quickly. If you happen to feel you are not being serviced adequately at one office, go to the next. All of these elected officials are here to serve you. Here is the link for “Who Represents Me?” https://www.mygovnyc.org/
