Please email * Join to View * Project/Production Manager is responsible for these key areas:
  • Team Management
  • Client Management
  • Production Management
  • Create relevant drawings as required ( CAD, Rhino, Sketchup)
  • Monitor project deliverables
  • Expense Reports
In the course of a project, the PM works with their team to analyze the SOW for an assigned project, delegate project-related needs and put together an actionable plan for production. The PM will lead the team in working with Fabricators, Scenic, Sculpting and Subcontractors to see that the client vision is executed and delivered on schedule and to the SFDS standard. Below is a more detailed description of this work: 1. Team Management
  • After being assigned a project, the team leader determines how the project-related needs will be delegated amongst team members. The PM may delegate all day-to-day tasks to their team listed to fulfill the needs of production management, invoicing and expense reporting, but is ultimately responsible for the output of the team.
2. Client Management
  • Lead day-to-day communication with clients to create trust and goodwill
  • Evaluate and process client feedback of all categories. Deliver the client's message to the appropriate party, and provide the appropriate context. In all cases, responding to the client on the shop’s behalf.
  • Identify and communicate project challenges and brainstorm solutions with client
  • Develop build proposals that consider budget and timeline as well as our shop capabilities and bandwidth. This could include, suggesting specific materials, finishes, hardware and/or off-the-shelf solutions. Very often these proposals are necessary as many clients are not familiar with construction and finishing.
3. Production Management
  • Before drawings are started make sure that the client’s vision has been value-engineered
  • Prepare and produce relevant documentation as required in partnership with CNC and yourself. (Cad and or Rhino a must)
  • Identify and communicate project challenges and brainstorm solutions with Department Leads
  • Make sure that the Monday entries for managed projects are up to date
  • Work with Foreman and Charge Scenic to execute samples, prototypes, and all elements
  • Coordinate all change orders along the project timeline
  • Ensure all project documents are current and accurate. Includes but is not limited to: Estimates, Elements list, and Work-Back Schedule
  • Quality control all elements throughout the fabrication process

Qualifications: 3+ years experience in the industry (or explain why you should be working with us without it)
  • CAD, Sketchup and or Rhino
  • Strong business acumen in project planning and management
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Fabrication experience (not required but definitely a plus)
