Prep Day for Stop Motion Concept

THE DIRECTOR AND CLIENT PINPOINT A CONCEPT:

Eva Radke and Rachael McIntosh collaborated on a stop-motion animation concept.  These are some of our notes…

STOP MOTION SCOPE OF WORK (SOW)

  • Create an animation that encourages people seeking creative jobs in the entertainment industry.
  • to realize they absolutely have a path to the dream all they need is ArtCube Nation, talent, and some hustle.

STOP MOTION VISUAL CONCEPTS

“Everyone Brings Something to the Table”

Message:

You have valuable, unique skills that apply to this type of work.

Diverse creative people bring their SKILLS to the table. That counts for experience.

STOP MOTION CHARACTERS + ACTIONS

Everyone’s hand, coming in with a tool that slides out of their hand and into a tool belt? slide on, wiggle, dance, bring tools, hammers, rulers? What is affected? What can we show?

“Create For / Your Life”

Message: You can have a creative career, you design your path, with a like-minded community. Creative people have individual dreams, and together, can make a bigger dream come true/real Creative people together can make big dreams real

First.  We craft.

Each member was asked to think of a word they associate with this unique community of Art Department crew, freelancers, and makers.

Then, they crafted inspirational cards from scraps and all kinds of random things around Razor Productions’ studio! The result is not only adorable but heartfelt.

JAS Non-alcoholic Cocktail Sponsor

Jas Non-Alcoholic Cocktails
Alcohol-free cocktails

Jas generously sponsoring non-alcoholic beverages for a sensory evocation of the classic Mexican cocktail, Paloma Libre.

JAS was founded by the visionary beverage entrepreneur, Cecilia Rios Murrieta, who believes that living alcohol-free doesn’t mean missing out on anything in life.

We had an Sunday night event and we were so pleased to have an option to intoxicants in a “school night”!  Plus, you don’t need alcohol to network, you need hustle.

WANNA HAVE A PARTY?

ArtCube Nation’s networking events always have a twist.

We like to sprinkle in experts and speakers, creativity, fun prizes, and offer the opportunity to Business Cubers to sponsor the events for goodwill and better relationships.

There is a  symbiotic relationship between Vendors and Freelancers in the entertainment industry.  Crew needs reliable and trusted sources, Vendors need loyal clients, repeat business, and word-of-mouth referrals. Relationships matter, so we gather.

EVENTS BUILD COMMUNITY

Gatherings at ArtCube Nation are an important part of how we serve the Business and Professional Members and one of our Seven Core Values.

Sure, Art Department jobs are the main draw, that’s been the case since 2007.  But, you can go years of “knowing” someone by their posts and never meet them!

Typically, there is just ONE Production Designer, ONE Art Director, ONE Art Department Coordinator, etc, on set. That can be isolating and stressful if there is JUST ArtCube Nation to turn to when you have an urgent issue on set or just want to bounce an idea off someone you can trust.

So how do you connect with peers and vendors?  Art DeParties.
